Neutral Connector
Needle Free Connectors are important in vascular access, for both the patient’s and the healthcare professional’s safety.
Needle Free Connectors prevent healthcare workers exposure to bloodborne pathogens by preventing needlestick injuries¹, whilst acting as a microbial barrier to protect the patient². Neutral displacement reduces blood reflux when connecting and disconnecting.
- Smooth levelled surface is easily swabbable for effective decontamination³
- Transparent housing allows visualisation of flush reducing the risk of colonisation⁴
- Split septum design & silicone seal to act as a microbial barrier, minimising the risk of infection
- Straight fluid pathway reduces residual blood and the risk of haemolysis⁵
- Reduced dead space minimises biofilm formation
- Also available in arterial – the red interior easily identifies that the line is in the artery
- Compatible with power injectors up to 325psi
- MRI compatible
- Can remain in situ for up to 7 days
