GBUK Group has acquired Care & Independence, a fast-growing provider of patient handling and moving devices. Founded in 1985, C&I specialises in medical slings, bathing equipment and postural support devices, and is the preferred supplier to the NHS.<\/p>\n

C&I primarily serves the needs of patients within the community setting via loan store operators, independent local authorities and NHS Trusts. Like GBUK, they operate a clinician-oriented, high-touch sales model, which supports Occupational Therapists with clinical product training and patient requirement assessments.<\/p>\n

C&I is GBUK\u2019s first acquisition since AMCE\u2019s investment in December 2023. It is expected to strengthen GBUK\u2019s positioning within the UK patient handling market, providing further breadth to the Group\u2019s product offering and an established platform for growth within the community-setting.<\/p>\n

AMCE and GBUK were advised by Burness Paull as legal adviser, Accuracy as accounting adviser and EY as tax adviser.<\/p>\n
