GBUK at ESPEN 2025
The 47th ESPEN Congress was held this year in the Czech Republic, bringing together experts from across the clinical nutrition field. The team from GBUK were very pleased to attend, both to launch our new feed sets, and to engage with clinicians and distributors from around the world.
Clinical focus and global reach
ESPEN 2025 focused on advancing understanding of nutritional interventions through education, discussion and product development. Attendees spanned from physicians and researchers, to dietitians and nurses.
This year, the event felt more international than previously, with a wider range of attendees from outside Europe. The diversity of participants contributed to more varied discussions and perspectives, especially around the practical application of nutritional therapies in different healthcare settings.
ESPEN 2025 maintained its strong clinical focus, covering a broad range of patient groups. There was a continued trend of enteral feeding that supports a more individualised approach to patient care, with sessions highlighting the importance of tailored feeding strategies across all age groups.
Connecting science, practice and industry
Though ESPEN is typically a clinical-focused event, there was also good representation from distributors. Conversations with both existing partners and new contacts highlighted potential areas for future collaboration, particularly in markets looking for high-quality enteral feeding solutions.
The event continues to bridge the gap between research, clinical practice and industry. The educational programme, including the new ESPEN guidelines and consensus meetings, provided valuable insights into evolving practice standards. Sessions were available both live and on demand, helping attendees catch up on content relevant to their work. Networking also remained a key feature, through both informal conversations at exhibition stands, and structured sessions involving product demonstrations and clinical case studies.
“ESPEN offered a valuable opportunity to connect with clinicians from around the world who are leading the way in advancing enteral nutrition,” said Chloe Abbott, International Clinical Manager at GBUK. “By listening to their needs and aligning with the latest research, we’re able to deliver not only products that support their goals, but also a service that empowers them to confidently improve patient outcomes.”
ESPEN 2025 was a valuable opportunity for GBUK to connect directly with clinicians and showcase our latest product developments. The interest in our new polyurethane feed sets also confirmed that our innovations continue to align with current clinical priorities. Our team has returned from the event with a better understanding of the needs of our customers, along with a clear sense of how we can support better patient outcomes through high-quality nutrition products.
