The ISO 80369-3 Enteral Connector Standard

GEDSA is a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade association with the mission of advancing patient safety by minimizing the risks of small-bore medical tubing misconnections, which can result in patient injury and death. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) developed the ISO 80369 series of standards to provide engineered tubing connectors, designed to be mechanically incompatible with connectors from other areas of therapy, to minimize misconnection risks. ISO 80369-3 is the enteral section of this standard, with connectors called ENFit®.

Female ENFit® Caps

ENFit® secure syringe caps allow feed or medication to be made up in advance, available with male and female connectors.

Male ENFit® Caps

ENFit® secure syringe caps with a male connector, allowing feed or medication to be made up in advance.

ENFit® / Oral Push Fit Cap

ENFit® push fit cap that is compatible with ENFit® or oral syringes.

Syringe Driver

A syringe driver calibrated to ISOSAF syringes to regulate the delivery of fluids.

Y-Port Adaptor

Y-Port adaptors will convert any ENFit® single port feeding tubes to Y-Port.

Transition Adaptors

Transition adaptors are ENFit® compatible, enabling connections during the transition to ENFit® ISO 80369-3.

ENFit® Bottle Adaptor

ENFit® bottle adapters are available in sizes to fit most medicine bottles, improving the dosage accuracy and reducing waste and contamination risk.

Medicine Bottle Adaptor

A dual-purpose, cost-effective medicine bottle adaptor that fits both ENFit® and Oral syringes, drawing out the bottle contents.

Connector Brush

The Enteral Connector Brush will keep ENFit® connectors and caps free from debris and potential connection issues.

Extension Sets

Our extension sets will extend Enteral feeding tubes, or can be used alongside syringe drivers.

FreeArm Muscle

The FreeArm Muscle® is a portable IV pole that aids the delivery of nutrition on the move.

Fixation Devices

Unique skin fixation devices to suit all tubes, ensuring secure and reliable placement.

Medicine Straw

Medicine straws avoid the inversion of large medicine bottles and improve dose accuracy.

Filter Needle

Filter needles are used to draw up and filter medication into syringes.
