Our 2026 Charity Partnerships
We are delighted to announce Yorkshire Dales Millenium Trust (YMDT) and Together for Short Lives as our charity partnerships for 2026. These organisations were selected for the strength of their impact, their alignment with GBUK values and their connections to the communities in which the business and its employees live and work.
Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, GBUK Group’s environmental charity, is a “small charity doing big things”. They deliver vital conservation and community-led projects across the Yorkshire Dales, with work spanning habitat restoration, woodland creation, apprenticeship opportunities and engagement programmes that support people and nature to thrive together.
“YDMT is a perfect fit for GBUK Group,” said Chloe Kelly, Compliance Director at GBUK. “Working with an organisation that supports our region’s natural heritage feels especially meaningful.”
GBUK Group is also renewing its ongoing support for Together for Short Lives, the national charity for seriously ill children and the children’s hospices that care for them. Together for Short Lives supports 52 children’s palliative care hospices across the UK, including local facilities close to GBUK Group, Martin House in Wetherby and Forget Me Not in Mirfield. Since 2010, GBUK Group has supported Together for Short Lives through payroll giving, to date, the company has raised £13,700 for the organisation. In 2026, GBUK Group will further support the charity to help sustain the vital work of children’s hospices.
“Charitable giving has always been important to GBUK Group,” said Mandy Greenwood, Head of Marketing at GBUK. “We are proud to support causes that matter deeply to our employees and our communities, and we want to ensure that these values are lived across all areas of the business.”
About Together for Short Lives
Seriously ill children and their families deserve the chance to live a full life, supported by care that enables them to thrive. But for many, it’s a lonely and isolating experience. Parents and siblings struggle in a system that doesn’t meet their uniquely challenging needs.
That’s why we’re here – to make sure they can access high quality children’s palliative care, when and where they need it. Step by step, hand in hand, day by day, so that no one has to face living through their child’s short life – and death – alone.
Together we support families through difficult times, offering lifeline practical, emotional and financial help. And, when they’re ready, we connect them to our incredible community – people who really get what they’re going through.
Together we unite our sector. We help professionals and services to pool their knowledge and expertise, to deliver outstanding children’s palliative care. We are collaborative and inclusive; we push boundaries and lead the conversation to find new and better ways of doing things.
Together we campaign to make sure that seriously ill children and their families get the care and support they need. We rally the community and give people a voice. And where the system falls short, we demand change.
Supporting, uniting, campaigning, together. Because time is short. We are Together for Short Lives.
