GBUK Non Woven Island Dressing
Non woven island dressings are a versatile and cost-effective solution for managing minor acute wounds, including abrasions, lacerations, and post-operative incisions. These dressings feature a soft, non woven adhesive border that gently secures an absorbent central pad over the wound. ​
Indications
- Low to moderately exuding wounds.
- Surgical incisions.
- Superficial cuts and abrasions.
- Post-operative wounds exposure.

- Soft non woven material gentle on fragile or sensitive skin.
- Central absorbent pad effectively absorbs and locks in exudate.
- Breathable construction promotes air circulation for optimal healing.
- Secure adhesive border ensures the dressing stays in place.
Precautions
- Avoid use on heavily exuding wounds.
- Avoid applying the dressing too tightly, especially where swelling may later occur, e.g. post-operatively.
- Ensure the dressing size adequately covers the wound to prevent leakage.
- Care should be taken to avoid skin damage with repeated applications, or on patients with fragile skin.
- GBUK non woven island dressing are not waterproof.
