GBUK attends 13th National Gastrointestinal Nursing Conference
GBUK was pleased to attend the 13th National Gastrointestinal Nursing Conference last month, which took place at the iconic Minster Building in the heart of London.
The GIN Conference is a free, CPD-certified event designed for nurses specialising in gastroenterology, hepatology and stoma care. Given that gastrointestinal nursing encompasses everything relating to the gut, the audience is broad and highly specialised, including GI nurses, stoma nurses, nutrition nurses and dietitians. As enteral feeding and gastrostomy care sit firmly within this landscape, it was a highly relevant and important event for GBUK to attend.
This year, GIN delivered not only a vibrant educational programme, but also valuable opportunities for us to engage with gastrointestinal healthcare professionals from across the UK.
With around 200 delegates in attendance, the atmosphere was busy and energised. Delegates could move between the lecture theatre and exhibition space, where GBUK had a particularly strong presence, exhibiting with the largest stand at the conference – a double-width space featuring our curved backdrop and large demonstration tables. This scale of presence is unusual for the exhibition, and ensured we were highly visible across the day.
The GIN conference proved to be a success to showcase GBUK’s newest product launches and legacy enteral device product ranges. A great relationship building opportunity, with much interest centred on our established Insides system, and great intrigue around our new gastrostomy button and G-tube portfolio. This balanced response confirms both the continued relevance of the Insides System within upper GI nursing, and the growing momentum behind our expanding enteral access offering.
In particular, our compact G-Tube was a standout product. Designed to offer the discretion of a button with the convenience of a traditional g-tube (eliminating the need for feed set washing), it generated significant interest on the stand. Interest was also high for the Low Profile Gastrostomy Button. This, along with our new ISOSAF Feed Sets, means GBUK now offers a comprehensive enteral feeding range.
Beyond product discussions, the day reinforced the passion and dedication within the GI nursing community. Delegates were deeply engaged in the educational sessions, covering topics from inflammatory bowel disease to nutrition support. Conversations on our stand reflected a shared commitment to improving patient quality of life through practical, evidence-based solutions.
Overall, the 2026 GIN Conference was a resounding success for GBUK, and we left inspired and excited about the opportunities ahead.
